Outwitting The Devil

- I started reading a new book a couple of weeks ago. It's called "Outwitting the Devil" by Napoleon Hill. This book was recommended to me by a dentist/ professor from NYU who also has his own private practice. He comes from Jamaica, from truly humble beginnings. His parents had to work extra hard to support his family and they were never the picture of wealth. When he told his parents after he graduated college and received his DDS that he didn't want to work under another, but instead try to open his own practice he told me they looked at him like he was crazy. Long story short he went for his dreams and achieved far beyon what he thought he could do in life. Back to the book though. He read this book some years ago and he said that it changed his life! Basically the author of the book almost writes a how to success guide without saying how to become successful. He strives to help the reader to get rid of the barriers that hold us back from achieving our full potential. Fear of what others will say or think, not striking at oppurtunities when the iron is hot, letting lust and weknesses in the human psychy take control of us, succomming alcoholism and extensive drug use are just some of the barriers that seem to hold us back. Now i'm a firm believer that since we only live life once, we should live it to the fullest, but i'm also a man who strives for success in life so the book kind of got me to thinking hard abut how things in my life are going. Blessed and living good, but I also realize I can push myself harder to achieve all the glory that life has to offer. I've been aplying the lessons that this book has to teach into my everyday life and it's actually changing my outlook on tons of things. Needless to say, I'm hooked on this read. You should give it a try if you're looking for great book.
