Manifestation

So I was hanging with my friends at my homegirls crib the other day. She had this idea to have all of her friends that visit her to tag up her wall with grafitti of their choice which I thought was dope. Gives the room a lot of character. So my other friend who does a lot of trippy kind of artwork decided to put a huge random piece of her own on her closet door which was bare. As her piece started to manifest I asked her “how do you know what you’re going to make when you start?” She tells me “I don’t. I usually just start with a base but as time goes by ideas and pictures start to form in my head and that’s what I lay down on the canvas. Once I finish what i’m working on, that was actually the image I had in my subconscious that finally manifests itself”. Her statement had me floating for a while because I used to draw alot myself but mainly images I had seen before or copies of work already done but I could never create my own personal piece of work because I didn’t understand how to bring the images in my head into life. I always thought she was real talented, but actually being able to witness her put this piece together in person blew my mind and made me appreciate what she does even more. Dope
